Privacy Policy

The Living Bible ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to livingbible.ravricsolutions.com.

1. Information we collect

Account data (required): your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
Optional profile data you choose to provide: username, display name, whether you currently follow a faith and which one, avatar image URL, a personal quote, and social links.
Security data: a two-factor authentication (TOTP) secret used to verify your identity.
Content you create: study notes and (in group study) comments.
Technical data: a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

2. How we use it

To create and secure your account and authenticate you (email verification, TOTP, password reset).
To provide the service — your profile, notes, and study features.
Only with your consent: to send you newsletters and updates about the platform. You can opt in at sign-up and turn it off anytime in your account settings.

3. Sharing & your visibility choices

We do not sell your personal information. Your public profile (/u/username) is visible to others only if you allow it. You can opt out of sharing your personal information at sign-up or in your account settings — when opted out, only a minimal, non-identifying card is shown. We share data with service providers strictly to operate the platform (email delivery, hosting).

4. Your rights

Access & correction: view and edit your information anytime in your account.
Withdraw consent: disable newsletters/marketing at any time.
Deletion: use Close my account to remove your profile and sign-in. We scrub personally-identifying profile fields on closure.

5. Security & retention

Passwords are hashed with Argon2; two-factor authentication is required. We keep your data while your account is active and remove identifying profile data when you close it. Verification and reset links expire (48 hours and 1 hour respectively).
