By creating an account on The Living Bible you agree to these terms.

1. The service

The Living Bible is an educational platform for exploring the world's religious texts as literature, history, and human story, alongside optional faith-based study tools. Scholarly summaries and datings are best-effort estimates, not definitive claims. Commentary in the "Study Lens" is our own original interpretation offered for reflection.

2. Your account

You must provide a valid email and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Two-factor authentication (TOTP) is required. You must verify your email to activate your account.
You must be old enough to consent to data processing in your jurisdiction (generally 13+, or 16+ where required).
One person per account; choose a unique username. Do not impersonate others.

3. Acceptable use

Be respectful. Notes, comments, and profiles must not contain harassment, hate, threats, unlawful content, or spam.
Do not disrupt the service, attempt unauthorized access, or scrape at scale.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the notes and comments you create. You grant us a limited license to store and display them to operate the features you use (e.g., showing a shared note to your study group). You are responsible for content you post.

5. Communications

We send transactional emails (verification, password reset). Newsletters and platform updates are sent only if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe anytime.

6. Closing your account

You may close your account at any time from your account settings; we remove your identifying profile data as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is," without warranties. Religious content is presented for education and reflection and represents scholarly and interpretive views, not authoritative religious rulings. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages.
